Lake Mendota I put on a clinic last Sunday post storm. Running big jerk baits over deep water drop offs. Even mid day was killing it.

Fuggedabout da dink smallies, how in the heck do you do a sideways flip on a baitcaster rig that goes so far and doesn't get snagged? For me to get any cast like that to work I need at least 1/2 ounce weight, and I still get backlashed.... as well as snagged. The weather still sucks for a while, give us some bait-casting tips please!!
